I haven't posted for a while as things have been super busy! Now I finally have some downtime, I have written the first 7 pages of a quick Catwoman story. I have been working on a project with my own characters which has been great fun but it is also nice to write about the characters I grew up reading. It is all good practice!
Thanks for reading!

Panel 1: Catwoman running across Gotham city rooftops. From her waist up.
Caption: This is the last time I move like this.
Panel 2: Full body shot. Catwoman has a bag strapped across her, the head of a cat statue poking out.
Caption: The last time I take what I want, when I want.
Panel 3: Catwoman looking at a reflection of herself in a window.
Caption: The last time I wear the suit.
Panel 4: Catwoman leaping off the roof.
Caption: Well… The last time in Gotham at least.
Page 2
Panel 1: Catwoman landing on the roof of Town Hall.
Caption: I’ve grown bored of this city.
Panel 2: Average looking criminals spraying graffiti on a statue outside of Town Hall.
Caption: I’m tired of the common crooks who think they own these streets.
Panel 3: Catwoman punching one of the criminals, taking the other out with a back kick.
Caption: Luckily, right now, I’m here to remind them that they don't. That I do.
Panel 4: Catwoman standing over the taken down crooks. Hand on the head of the cat statue.
Caption: I want to be where the excitement is. Where the fun is. Maybe even somewhere I can catch a tan for once.
Page 3
Panel 1: Catwoman using her whip to swing from a flag pole through a dodgy neighbourhood.
Caption: I grew up on these dark, miserable streets.
Panel 2: Catwoman swinging past a smashed in bus stop.
Caption: When I was ten I slept at that bus stop.
Panel 3: Catwoman swinging past a closed museum. Broken windows, graffiti on walls.
Caption: When I was fifteen I stole my first piece of jewellery from a museum that used to be open on that corner.
Panel 4: Catwoman landing on top of a roof. Batsignal can be seen in the sky.
Caption: Then, as I grew older, I made friends. I made enemies. And I met him.
Panel 5: Catwoman looking up at the batsignal.
Caption: People know him as a vigilante. The Dark Knight. The Batman.
Panel 6: Catwoman turning away.
Caption: I just know him as a real pain.
Page 4
Panel 1: Catwoman entering through her apartment window. A black cat is waiting for her.
Catwoman: Mama’s home baby.
Panel 2: Catwoman taking off her mask with one hand, stroking the cat with the other.
Caption: I’m leaving Gotham and I’m going somewhere else. Anywhere else.
Panel 3: Catwoman picking up her cat.
Caption: Maybe I can spend some time volunteering at a cat shelter or something. Do some good for once.
Panel 4: Catwoman looking over her shoulder at an open safe. Cash and jewels falling out.
Caption: It’s not like I need to worry about money. At least I've got Gotham to thank for that.
Panel 5: Catwoman pulling a newspaper out from her letterbox. Headline reads: Batman Strikes Again!
Caption: I’m going to leave this city and go somewhere without any caped crusaders.
Page 5
Panel 1: Catwoman has a tight grip on the newspaper, slightly startled by the crash. Looking over her shoulder. Cat in sight.
SFX: Crash!
Cat: Meow.
Catwoman: What the hell was that?
Panel 2: Catwoman pounces up to the ceiling.
Caption: It’s funny…
Panel 3: Catwoman pulls mask back over her face.
Caption: I almost feel sorry for whoever thought they could just break in here.
Panel 4: Catwoman is still stuck to the ceiling, Batgirl standing in a pile of glass next to a shattered window.
Catwoman: Batgirl?
Panel 5: Catwoman leaping down in front of Batgirl.
Caption: Great, a rodent.
Batgirl: Selina! I am so glad you’re here!
Panel 6: Catwoman pulling down mask, leaning casually against the wall. Batgirl still standing.
Caption: This why I need to go somewhere without capes.
Catwoman: Don’t act so surprised, this is my apartment after all.
Page 6
Panel 1: Catwoman teasing Batgirl.
Catwoman: Please tell me you’re not here to sell me Girl Scout cookies.
Batgirl: No. This is important.
Panel 2: Catwoman walking over to a side table which has a bucket of wine and glasses on top.
Catwoman: Good as I've ran out of milk. I’ll pour us some wine instead.
Batgirl: This isn't a social visit. I want to make this quick.
Panel 3: Catwoman taking a sip of wine. Batgirl looking concerned.
Caption: I have never seen Batgirl like this before. The tone of her voice is too sharp, too direct. I need to play this situation down. I don't need her thinking that I care.
Catwoman: Something really is troubling you, isn't it dear? You better get to the point as you’re not exactly holding my interest right now.
Panel 4: Close up on Batgirl. Her face through the mask is tired, worried.
Batgirl: It’s Bruce. He’s been missing in action for at least a week.
Panel 5: Catwoman pretending not to care, Batgirl standing with crossed arms.
Caption: The great Batman missing? I wasn't expecting that. Play it cool Selina, Bruce can handle himself.
Catwoman: And you’re telling me this now because?
Batgirl: I’ve looked everywhere for him but I don't know the streets half as well as you do.
Panel 6: Catwoman has her back to Batgirl.
Caption: Batgirl is going to ask me for my help. I know she is.
Catwoman: If he’s still missing then you haven't looked hard enough.
Batgirl: Are you going to help me or am I just wasting my time here?
Page 7
Panel 1: Catwoman turning around, trying to reason with Batgirl.
Caption: If I’m going to help, it will be on my terms. Not Batgirl’s.
Catwoman: Listen kid, I know your heart is in the right place. But how do we even know if Bruce is in trouble? Maybe he doesn't want to be found. Maybe he just needs a vacation.
Batgirl: Or maybe you’re just too wrapped up in yourself to help me find him.
Panel 2: Catwoman scowling, Batgirl reaching into her utility belt.
Caption: I hate it but the Bat-brat is right. This is not my responsibility. This is not my fight. And I don't want it to be.
Catwoman: I think you better leave, I don't appreciate your tone.
Batgirl: If Bruce means anything to you, you’ll at least accept this. It's a tracker that determines his location according to where his utility belt is.
Panel 3: Batgirl passing Catwoman a tracker.
Catwoman: What am I supposed to do with it?
Batgirl: The belt is offline but I'm hoping Bruce will send a signal through when he can.
Catwoman: Just drop it and go.
Panel 3: Batgirl leaving through the shattered window.
Batgirl: I’m already gone.
Panel 4: Catwoman picking up the tracker Batgirl left for her.
Caption: Damn it. I really hate that girl sometimes.
Panel 5: Catwoman looking at the tracker in her hand.
Caption: This is the last time I go out of my way for Bruce. For anyone in fact.
Panel 6: Catwoman looking down at her apartment floor.
Caption: The very last time.
